Awards

The German Society of Human Genetics would like to adequately recognize the merit of both outstanding established researchers as well as of promising young researchers to highlight the central position of human genetics as a specialist area linking together medicine and life sciences.

The Society’s highest award is the “GfH - medal of honor”. The award recognizes scientific achievements and significant contributions to the field of human genetics made by individual geneticists for their scientific achievements, their contributions to the field of human genetics, and for their outstanding personality.

Moreover, especially accomplished members are recognized as honorary members.

A presentation of outstanding scientific achievement at the GfH annual meeting will be recognized by poster and lecture awards, especially for young researchers.
