Information for Speakers and Abstract Authors

We have compiled some important information for our speakers and abstract authors on how to prepare your presentation, poster or poster slam.

Oral Presenations (Workshops, Symposia, Plenary, Keynote, EDU)

All lecture rooms will be equipped with a Laptop and a data projector (beamer) for PowerPoint presentations only. Presentations must be handed in via memory stick before the lecture.

Presentation preparation
Please create your presentation in PowerPoint and in slide size to "16:9 - Widescreen and and landscape orientation. Portrait orientation will not be displayed properly. If you want to show videos in your presentation, please bring them separately on a USB stick. If you use special fonts, please also save them separately and be at the media check in time to check that they are correct.

Media Check
The media check is located on the 1. Floor. Please submit your presentation to the supervised media check via USB stick at least two hours before the start of your presentation to avoid bottlenecks in data delivery. If your presentation takes place in the morning, please submit it the day before. You will have the opportunity to check your data again on site. This will ensure that your presentation is available in the lecture theatre in optimum quality.

10 minutes + 5 minutes discussion

Poster Presentation

The paper poster walls are located in the industry exhibition on the 2. Floor. There will be no ePoster Terminals and no digital eposter in the Conference App.

Poster Production

  • Format: A0 (width 84,1 cm x height 118,9 cm), Portrait Format

  • QR codes can be integrated

All posters with even poster numbers should be mounted up on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 from 11 a.m. Please take down your poster by 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, 5 March 2026.

All posters with odd poster numbers should be mounted up on Thursday, 5 March 2026 during the lunch break (from 12:30 p.m.). Please remove your poster on Friday, 6 March 2026, during the lunch break (by 1:30 p.m.).

Sufficient poster pins will be available. Please note remaining posters cannot be stored and will be disposed of.

Poster Award Nomination

If your Poster has been nominated for the GfH Poster Prize you have the opportunity to win one of three awards. Following the Poster Slams (details below), all nominated posters will be evaluated by a selected jury.

Important: Please insert the medal symbol in the TOP right-hand corner in your Poster and Poster Slam slides. This indicates to the reviewers that your poster has been nominated for the Poster Award.

Poster Slam Presentation

Again in 2026!
Following its success in Innsbruck, there will be another Poster Slam session in Munich. Participation is voluntary and we are delighted that so many authors have agreed to take part in the format.

Date & Time: Wednesday, 4 March 2026, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM, Lecture Halls

What to prepare:

  • A 3-minute short presentation of your abstract (concise and engaging)

  • A maximum of 3 slides (clear, without animations)

  • The microphone will be switched after 3 minutes to maintain timing

  • PowerPoint Presentation, 16:9, landscape format

📤 Submission deadline for slides: 15 February 2026
All slides will be merged into a single presentation for a smooth process on-site.

  • Important: Make sure that your file is labelled as follows: Posterslam_No_PosterNo_LastName
